The terms your firm agrees to when it uses CaseMate.

01What this service is

CaseMate is software for recording a law firm’s clients, cases, hearings and fees. It records what your firm enters. It does not connect to any court’s systems, does not fetch cause lists, and is not affiliated with or endorsed by any court, bar council or government body.

It is not legal advice, and it does not check whether a date or an outcome you have recorded is correct.

02Your firm’s account

The person who creates the firm is its administrator. They add and remove users and decide who sees what within the firm.

• Keep your passwords to yourself — anyone signed in as you acts as you
• Deactivate people who leave the firm
• Tell us at once if you think an account has been misused

03Missed dates are your responsibility

This is the part that matters most. The diary shows what your firm has recorded. If nobody enters a hearing, records an outcome, or approves a clerk’s report, the system cannot know about it — and we are not responsible for a date that was never entered, a reminder that was not read, or a matter that went undefended.

Keep whatever independent check on your court dates your practice requires.

04Plans, seats and payment

A firm is on one plan and pays per seat for the year. A seat is any active person in the firm. Client and case limits apply to the whole firm.

• Basic is free, one seat, with the limits shown on our pricing page
• Paid plans are settled by bank transfer and activated by us once the money clears
• Nothing renews automatically, and we never ask for card details
• Prices are in Pakistani rupees and may change for future terms, never mid-term

05What we will not do

We will not sell your data, show one firm’s records to another, or use your clients’ details for anything other than running the service for you.

06What you must not do

• Use the service for anything unlawful
• Try to reach another firm’s data, or test our security without asking us first
• Resell access, or share one seat between several people
• Upload someone else’s personal data that your firm has no reason to hold

07Availability

We aim to keep the service up and to warn you before planned maintenance, but we do not promise uninterrupted service. If we have to take it down unexpectedly, we will say so.

08Ending it

You can stop using the service whenever you like and ask us to export or delete your firm. We can suspend a firm that does not pay or that breaks these terms — we will tell you why.

09Limits on our liability

To the extent the law allows, our liability for any claim is limited to what your firm paid us in the twelve months before it arose. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

10Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan, and disputes go to the courts at Lahore.
